RACONTEURAussie storyteller Tony Boyle often chronicles the opportunity created for him out of the depths of his recovery from alcoholic enslavement. "I am part of the storytellers' fellowship, ever since I sang out to the Big Bloke in the Australian Outback one night 21 years ago and asked for help, I haven’t picked up a drink." A native of Kangaroo Island, Tony would spend many late afternoons squatting on the island’s spectacular cliffs staring at the mainland 20 kilometers away, scribbling his thoughts into rough poetic stanzas... Tony loved the tough contact sport of Australian football, and enjoyed the occasional rough and tumble of rural and state politics. When he moved to the mainland with his family... His rugged good looks got him work in commercials and television, but his periodic bouts with drinking haunted him, as memories of his alcoholic heritage foreshadowed his own future until that night, tramping lost on a dark cold night in the Australian desert... His life changed overnight producing videos and documentaries that took him far afield...a story with the Mujahideen in northern Pakistan (some speculate, the present-day lair of Osama bin Laden) who at the time were backed by the CIA... Four years later, he moved to the United States. He continues his work as a producer, writer, actor and voice over artist. In a drama that has gone full circle, Tony has now turned his attention to his roots and created the epic story of his homeland, Kangaroo Island. Entitled Beyond Passion, it captures the essence of Australia's rich and intriguing pulse of life... Tony lives today in Golden, Colorado with his beautiful and brilliant wife Kathy.
